    Understanding Your Application Status

    Your Application Detail Page

After you submit a rental application, you can track its progress from your Tenant dashboard. Go to Applications in the sidebar and click on any application to open the detail page.

On this page you will see:

    • Status Badge at the top showing where your application currently stands
    • Property Information including the address, unit, and monthly rent
    • Your Personal Information as submitted in the application
    • A summary of your employment, financial, and reference details

    What Each Status Means

Your application will move through different stages as the landlord or property manager reviews it:

    • New: Your application has been received but not yet reviewed
    • Under Review: The landlord is actively reviewing your application details
    • Background Check: A background screening is being conducted
    • Reference Check: Your references are being contacted
    • On Hold: The landlord needs more time or information before proceeding
    • Conditionally Approved: You have been tentatively approved with some conditions to meet
    • Approved: Congratulations! Your application has been accepted and next steps will follow
    • Rejected: Unfortunately your application was not accepted this time
    • Withdrawn: You chose to withdraw your application

    Uploading Documents When Requested

Sometimes a landlord will request additional documents from you. When this happens:

    1. You will receive an email notification listing the specific documents needed
    2. You will also see a notification in the app
    3. Go to your application detail page
    4. Upload the requested documents using the upload area
    5. The landlord will be notified once you have uploaded them

Common documents that may be requested include:

    • Photo ID (driver's license or passport)
    • Proof of income (pay stubs or tax returns)
    • Employment verification letter
    • Bank statements
    • Credit report
    • Proof of tenant insurance

    Communicating with Your Landlord

You can message your landlord or property manager directly from your application page:

    1. Open your application detail page
    2. Use the messaging section to type and send a message
    3. Your landlord will see the message in their application view and can respond
    4. You will be notified when they reply

This is a great way to ask questions about the property, clarify details on your application, or respond to any requests.

    Booking a Viewing

If the landlord has enabled viewings for your application:

    1. You will see available viewing time slots on your application page
    2. Select a time that works for you
    3. Confirm the booking
    4. You will receive a confirmation with the viewing details

    Withdrawing Your Application

If you decide you no longer want to pursue a rental:

    1. Open your application detail page
    2. Look for the Withdraw option
    3. Confirm that you want to withdraw

Once withdrawn, the landlord will be notified and your application will no longer be under consideration. This action cannot be undone, so make sure before you proceed.
