Overview
Configure how you receive rent payments from tenants by navigating to Settings > Setup Payment in the sidebar. This section is available for Hybrid and Manager roles.
Payment Methods
Lease24 supports several payment collection methods:
- e-Transfer - Provide your email or phone number for Interac e-Transfer
- Stripe Connect - Accept credit/debit card and bank payments online through Stripe
- Manual/Offline - Record cheque, cash, or direct deposit payments manually
Stripe Connect Setup
To accept online payments through Stripe:
- Click Connect with Stripe on the payment settings page
- Follow the Stripe onboarding flow to verify your identity and banking details
- Once connected, tenants can pay invoices directly through a secure payment link
Stripe handles payment processing, and funds are deposited to your linked bank account on a rolling basis.
Default Payment Method
Set a default payment method that auto-populates when creating new invoices. This saves time if most of your tenants pay the same way.
Payment Instructions
You can also set default payment instructions that appear on all invoices (e.g., "Please e-Transfer to payments@yourcompany.com"). These can be overridden on individual invoices.
