    Editing Property Details and Photos

To edit a property, click the "Edit" button on the Property Detail page. This opens the Edit Property page, which is organized into two tabs for easy navigation.

    Property Details Tab

The first tab covers all the core information about your property:

    Property Name

Update the display name for your property. This is the name that appears on the dashboard and in any listings you create.

    Thumbnail Photo

Upload or change the main thumbnail image for the property. This image appears on property cards throughout the dashboard. Click the upload area to select a new photo from your device.

    Address Fields

    The address section includes:

    • Street Address - The full street address of the property.
    • City - The city where the property is located.
    • Province - Select from a dropdown of Canadian provinces and territories.
    • Postal Code - Enter the postal code, which is automatically formatted to the standard Canadian format (e.g., A1A 1A1).

When you enter or update the address, the system uses geocoding to verify the location and generate map coordinates. This ensures your property appears correctly on map views and listings.

    Notes

A free-text field where you can add any additional notes about the property. This is a good place to record details like access codes, special instructions for maintenance, or reminders about the property.

    Units and Rooms Tab

The second tab gives you access to the full unit management interface. From here you can:

    • Add new units - Click "Add Unit" to create additional units for the property.
    • Edit existing units - Update details like rent, status, or amenities for any unit.
    • Delete units - Remove units that are no longer part of the property.

This tab uses the same unit management interface described in the "Managing Units Within a Property" article, so everything works the same way.

    Saving Changes

After making your updates, click the "Save" button to apply your changes. The system will validate your entries and show a confirmation message once everything is saved successfully. If there are any issues with your input, you will see specific error messages indicating what needs to be corrected.
