Exploring the Unit Detail Page
The Unit Detail page gives you a complete view of a single rental unit, including who lives there, financial history, and any maintenance activity.
Breadcrumb Navigation
At the top of the page, you will see a breadcrumb trail showing: Properties > [Property Name] > [Unit Code]. You can click on any part of the breadcrumb to jump back to that level. This makes it easy to move between the property and unit views without losing your place.
Unit Stat Cards
Four stat cards display the key facts about the unit:
- Bedrooms - The number of bedrooms in the unit.
- Bathrooms - The number of bathrooms.
- Square Feet - The size of the unit.
- Signed Rent - The monthly rent amount from the active lease (if one exists).
Amenities Section
Below the stat cards, you will see a list of amenities that apply to this unit, such as parking, pet friendliness, and any other features you have set up. These are displayed as visual badges for quick reference.
Current Tenant Card
If the unit has an active tenant, their information is displayed in a dedicated card:
- Tenant name - Full name of the current tenant.
- Contact actions - Buttons to call, email, or message the tenant directly.
- Lease status - Whether the lease is active, expiring soon, or in another state.
Lease Quick Actions
When a lease is associated with the unit, you get quick action buttons:
- View Lease - Opens the full lease detail page.
- Message Tenant - Opens a conversation with the tenant in the messaging system.
These actions are context-aware and only appear when relevant.
Tabbed Sections
The lower part of the page is organized into tabs:
Payment History
A chronological list of all payments made for this unit. Each entry shows the date, amount, status, and any notes. You can track whether rent is being paid on time and follow up on missed payments.
Maintenance Requests
All maintenance requests filed for this unit, showing the title, priority, status, and date submitted. You can click on any request to view its full details or update its status.
Documents
Any documents attached to this unit, such as lease agreements, inspection reports, or tenant correspondence. You can upload new documents or download existing ones from this tab.
